Downhill Tracks

The tracks at FJMTB offer a wide and varied range of riding to suit all styles; with trails that ride flat-out through meadows to big berms, steep techy woods, rock gardens, jumps and north shore there is something for everyone.

The park map gives a rough idea of where stuff is within the park, however John loves his spade and is forever making new lines to link tracks in, so only the main lines are shown!

Main DH Track
The original track at FJ has been modified a lot over the years but still starts at the same place at the top of the hill! The top section of the track is used for all but the night race event with various junctions and diversions following the bog bridge crossing.

Night Race / Burm Track
Famed for hosting the annual FJ Night Race; The Burm Track is a 50 second run starting at the top of the main field. The track can be hard to get right in day light so its probably for the best that John only ever uses it at night.

Bridge / Hut Jump Line
New for 2013 the bridge jump line diverts from the Main DH track just before it enters the wood, crossing a north shore style drop off before blasting out over the meadow via some rock gardens. A bridge has been built to enable the night race track to be linked to the Main DH midway down the meadow which the brave like to jump. From there the track splits again crossing either the hut jump or diving into the woods to rejoin the Main DH line.

Dirt Jumping
The trails were originally started by two salty dudes called Liam and Eddy around 2007. The farm was just starting out and was kind of a local secret. They asked John if they could build some dirt jumps and ended up with a patch of land and an encouraging pat on the back! The last few years have seen a lot of changes and some new faces Liam, The Yoof and Alex have both since moved to New Zealand and things are currently run by Eddy, Matt and Dave.
